Age
- Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years
Educational Qualifications
Category (1) – Minimum Degree from a recognized University or its equivalent.
Category (2) – Minimum 10th pass subject training upto 3 years for the post of Skilled Artisan or 12th Class (10+2 Stage) pass from a recognized Board/ Council/ Institution etc.
Category (3) – Madhyamick/as required for the post.
Minimum Sports Norms
For Category (1)
Secured at least 3rd position in World Cup (Junior/Youth/Senior Category) or World Championships (Junior/Senior Category) or Asian Games(Senior Category) or Commonwealth Games (Senior Category).or Youth Olympics
For Category (2)
Represented the Country in World Cup (Junior/Youth/Senior Category) or World Championships (Junior/Senior Category) or Asian Games(Senior Category) or Commonwealth Games (Senior Category) or Youth Olympics or Championship OR at least 3rd position in Commonwealth Championships (Junior Senior Category) or Asian Championships/Asia Cup (Junior/Senior Category) or South Asian Federations Games (Senior Category) or USIC(World Railway) Championships (Senior Category) or World University Games OR at least 3rd position in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships OR at least 3rd position in National Games organized under the aegis of Indian Olympic Association OR at least 3rd position in All India Inter University Championship organized under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities OR 1st position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category)
For Category (3)
Represented the Country in any Championships/events, Commonwealth Championships (Junior/Senior Category), Asian Championships/Asia Cup (Junior/Senior), South Asian Federations (AF) Games (Senior Category), USIC (World Railways) Championships (Senior Category) OR At least 3rd Position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category) OR Represented a State of equivalent Unit, except in Marathon and Cross Country, in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships OR At least 3rd Position in Senior State Championships for all Units and Districts of the State.
Examination Fees
For all candidates, except those mentioned in sub-para(ii) below, Rs.500/-(Rupees Five Hundred) only. This examination fees will not be refundable / transferable/ adjustable under any circumstances.
For candidates belonging to SC, ST, Women, Minorities and economically backward classes, Rs.250/- (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty) only with a provision for refunding the same to those who actually appear in the Trial.
The Examination Fees is payable in Indian Postal Order (IPO), payable at GPO, Kolkata, drawn in favor of “ PFA, Metro Railway, Kolkata”
How to Apply : Offline Mode
Separate application for each category as per the format given below to be sent, in a closed envelope subscribed ‘APPLICATION FOR SPORTS QUOTA RECRUITMENT FOR THE YEAR 2022-23’ by post to the Principal Chief Personnel Officer, Metro Railway/Kolkata, Metro Rail Bhavan ( 2nd floor), 33/1 J.L.Nehru Road, Kolkata-700071 OR to be dropped in the box placed at 2nd floor at the said address during office hours except Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.(Courier Post Registered Post/ Speed Post will not be accepted).
